Position Available: Ministry Assistant/Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

We are hiring!ImageNightShift Street Ministries currently has an opening for a full-time position for a Ministry Assistant/Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. The Ministry Assistant primarily comes alongside the President and Fund Development Director for 24 hours a week in the area of scheduling, correspondence, data and list management, ministry projects, as well as be involved in components of our varied fundraising initiatives.

In addition, the remaining 16 hours are for the position of Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to develop the care of the volunteers. This roles serves to focus on developing and maintaining effective recruitment and retention strategies, implementing volunteer recognition, create mentoring opportunities, peer accountability and foster spiritual and emotional wholeness for men, women, children, teens and families to carry out their passionate call to serve at NightShift.

This is your opportunity to use your skills and abilities for a cause you can believe in, helping to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness in the Whalley area of Surrey.

The ideal candidate will have a BA degree or diploma with a focus on business administration, communications, marketing and/or in non-profit management. Any experience with grant writing and proposals, data management, volunteer management or working in a non-profit environment will be an asset as well as experience and education demonstrating a strong understanding of current best practices. Excellent writing and editing skills are a must, as well as the ability to be a team player in a fast-paced work environment. Above all, this important role requires a consistent witness in your relationship to Jesus Christ and a Christ-like attitude adhering to NightShift Street Ministries’ Guidelines.

Mac at MissionsFest 2013
